The Draft?

I have Blake Griffin going #1 in my really early NBA mock draft

It might seem way early to be even thinking about the draft, but believe it or not, I am.

Websites like ESPN.com and NBAdraft.net have already posted mock drafts. So here I am, posting mine. In the future, I will post more about it. This is just a mock draft that I haven't thought about too much. Here are the lottery picks. {P.S. the t! eams are in the order that NBAdraft.net has them in}

1 Blake Griffin {Oklahoma} by Oklahoma City
He is from the Oklahoma Sooners, so it would make it easier to just stay in the same state than to travel to a place like New York or something. And the Thunder need a lot more help in the post.

2 Jeff Teague {Wake Forest} by Washington
The Wizards are struggling this season, but once Gilbert Arenas comes back, they will be up and running again. He won't be back to his normal self, but if you add a guy like Teague, it would make up for that extra boost. And more. And he will help a lot if Gilbert gets injured again. {Hopefully not.}

3 Damion James {Texas} by LA Clippers
I think the Clippers could be doing much better, but they are one of the worst teams right now. They have great players, but it isn't doing much. Might as well just add another good one.

4 Greg Monroe {Georgetown} by Sacramento
He might only be a fre! shman, but he is a good one. The Kings are in desperate need f! or a pow er forward, and I think Monroe fills the requirements for a good one. Just hope he turns out better than Spencer Hawes did.

5 Brandon Jennings {Pallacanestro Virtus Roma} by Golden State
Jennings made a big move of going from Oak Hill Academy all the way to an International team. He has great potential, and could make a big impact on this Warriors team.

6 Hasheem Thabeet {UConn} by Memphis
The Griz are doing pretty well, even though their record doesn't show it. O.J. Mayo turned out to be a great player and maybe a future Superstar. They gave up star forward Pau Gasol last year to the Lakers, but Mayo quickly replaced him as the star of this young team. Thabeet will help alot, because all Memphis has at center right now includes Marc Gasol and Darko Milicic.

7 Stephen Curry {Davidson} by Minnesota
I never heard of Davidson until they got a bid into the NCAA tournament and then got farther than anyone thought. Then I heard of St! ephen Curry, how great of a player he was. He is leading the nation in scoring right now with 29.1 points a game. Wow. He has also shown he can distribute the ball very well, averaging 6.5 assists a game. I would take him the first pick if I was an NBA GM. He could really help a struggling team.

8 James Harden {Arizona State} by Indiana
He plays every game like it is his last. Sure, he struggled against USC {4 points}, but then he bounced back against #9 UCLA and scored 24. He can do a lot. His averages are 22.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.3 assists. He could do a lot for the Pacers if he is still available by then.

9 Chase Budinger {Arizona} by Charlotte
The Wildcats are only 11-7, but Budinger can play basketball. He most likely wouldn't be a starter on this Bobcats team, but he would provide some bench help. He is averaging 17.2 points, second on the team to Jordan Hill's 17.8 PPG.

10 Jordan Hill {Arizona} by New York
Many ! would say that Hill would go before his teammate Chase Budinge! r, but d ifferent teams have different needs. He has steadily improved each season with Arizona after averaging only 4.7 points in his freshman season, and now in his Jr Season, he is leading the Wildcats in scoring. New York needs a guy like this.

11 DaJuan Summers {Georgetown} by Toronto
Toronto could be getting Shawn Marion, but his contract expires at the end of the season. So, by grabbing Summers, it could be the makeup for their new small forward.

12 Al-Farouq Aminu {Wake Forest} by Chicago
As just a freshman, he is averaging 12.8 points and 8.8 rebounds. He could be a good complimentary player for Chicago. And in later years, he could be a pretty good role player like Lamar Odom or maybe even better than that like Luol Deng is.

13 Tyler Hansbrough {North Carolina} by Philadelphia
NBAdraft.net has him at the #24 pick. I think he could go higher than what I have him at {13}, but again, this is just a quick mock draft that I really ! haven't put much thought into. He is a great player, and that is why the Tar Heels are #5.

14 Ty Lawson {North Carolina} by Dallas
He would be higher like I said of Hansbrough, but it is just a quick mock draft. He is playing the point very well, and he reminds me of Derrick Rose in a way. He will be a wanted player in the draft this year.
