Ajax playing catch up

Ajax Cape Town have a chance to catch up with log leaders Supersport United this weekend. The Urban Warriors face Amazulu at Athlone Stadium on Saturday.

The Cape side are level on 31 points with Pirates and Sundowns however they are sitting fourth on the log due to their goal difference.

A win for them on Saturday could take the team to within three points of Supersport. Ajax have also failed to find the net of late, they have only scored one goal in their five games.

Roslee says their goal drought is not a result of them not creating chances.

"We just haven't been able to get on to the end of things and when it doesn't go your way it just doesn't. Here we are creating chances and all we have to do is tuck them into the back of the net and its not going in, that's the reality. I think once we start scoring goals it will happen on a regular basis. "

However a victory may not be an easy one. It has been the games against Bloemfontein Celtic and Maritzburg United who are battling relegation where Ajax have not got a result.

Roslee says these teams are hungrier as there is more up for grabs.

"The bottom teams are figting and they have strengthened their squads and their seems to be a new found fight within everyone to make sure they stay up because they stakes are far higher than ever before."

Kick off for the game is at 18h00.
